Vince Bruno, September 3, 2007 after a long fight with cancer. Survived by his wife Mary and his many children and grandchildren. Vice-Chair of the 14th Congressional District and retired UAW Local 600 member.
JUDGE William Leo Cahalan, Age 75. January 31, 2007 of Grosse Ile. Judge Cahalan served citizens of Wayne County's 3rd Circuit Court for 32 years. He is survived by his wife Valina; his children Leo, Carol, Beth (Ken) Kwiat, and David (Mary Frances Brown). Also leaves six grandchildren Lee, Mary, Maggie, Meg, Will, and Jack; his sisters Ann (Tom) Mercier and Ursula (John) Connors; his brother John C. Cahalan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mayor Michael Guido lost his battle with cancer Tuesday, December 5, 2006. His legacy, accomplishments and the memories of those he touched will live on. Guido, 52, died at home surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife Kari and two sons, Michael Jr., 19, and Anthony, 14; his parents Emilio and Helen, and his sisters: Vickie Skrisson, Laura Guido-Clark and Lisa Guido.
